Is It Time To Move On?

Ending a new relationship or letting a crush go can be scary and disappointing; all those hopes you once had for something between the two of you didn’t play out, and you’re dejected. Relationships and crushes are full of ups and downs; If both of you feel the same way about each other and are willing to communicate, there’s probably a good chance you can work through a low point. But it’s not always the right move. Sometimes we can hang on to things longer than we should, even if they’re not giving us what we need. Below are five signs that it MIGHT be time to let this one go.

  1. You Want Different Things

Sometimes things just don’t line up. Maybe you don’t share core values, or one of you wants a serious relationship and the other is looking for something casual. Arguing about it probably won’t change things, and might just leave you both feeling frustrated and dejected.

  1. The Situation Brings More Anxiety Than Peace

I’m not talking about butterflies or nervousness. I mean thinking about your situation and feeling stressed and frustrated by it, and worrying about it often.  or If it’s not bringing you joy, Marie-Kondo that ‘ship.

  1. You Feel The Need To Change Yourself For Them

Feeling insignificant or insufficient. A healthy relationship will encourage you to grow, not pressure you to change

  1. You Wish You Could Fix Them

Things would be great if only they’d… Not a romcom, doesn’t work.

  1. You Don’t Put In The Same Amount Of Effort

Is one of you planning all the dates, struggling to keep the convos going, or sending emoji when you deserve full sentences? You merit equal investment.

Bottom line: Trust your gut. Value yourself. If it’s time to move on, let this be the sign that helps you realize it. And if you’re looking for the words to end things, we can help you with that, too.
